Yarn Yonders
Overview
Yarn Yonders is a made up brand that sells crocheted plushs.This is a self imposed project that I created for myself in order practice more with product photography.
Process
I started with doing research on how other companies like doing their photography for plushes. I found a images of plushes on a blank coloured background which I did like but I wanted to create more a scene with images. I chose to use the crochet supplies as background pieces to give the idea that all of the plushes are all hand made with hard work (which they were). After taking the photos I edited them all first with Lightroom then with Photoshop. Lastly, I created the name and logo.
Challenges
The biggest challenge for me on this project was figuring out how to set up the scene. I created rough sketches as to how I wanted to set up the scene. I collaborated with a friend who has more experience with photography. She gave me pointers and helped me move around some of the objects to set up the scene. Another challenge was getting all of the supplies needed for this photoshoot. I don't crochet myself so I had to ask my friends for the plushes and supplies.
