Short Film Poster
Overview
This poster is the first piece that I have professionally done with a client. This poster was created for Demure Duchess Pictures for their comedy short film Janet.

Process
My SAIT instructor Britt Clark was the one who got me into contact with Demure Duchess Pictures and was the one who gave me a lot of guidance for this poster. As you can see above I made three different iterations of the poster but there were some aspects of the poster that the client wanted changed but I had trouble figuring out. I asked Britt for some guidance and she gave me the rough sketch on the left on how I can improve I can improve upon the poster leading towards the end result.
Challenges
This being my first time creating something for a new client I was bound to face a lot different challenges. As you can see above I went through a lot of different iterations uintil we got landed on the final version. One thing that shocked me the most were our views on the colour yellow. My perspective of the colour yellow were of sunshine and joy making me believe that yellow would be a good fit for a comedy short film. I later found out with this client that they associate the colour yellow with fear and caution so it doesn't work well for a comedy movie versus the east where they view the colout yellow the same as I do.
