Process
I based the design of the poster around a mood board that they gave me. The images included arcade machines and old 90's game show posters. What was new to me in the process of making this poster was creating the CRT effect on top of the poster to replicate the screens you would see back in the late 90's. Instead of buying a filter to put online I was able to create the filter on my own from scratch.
Challenges
For me personally I have a lot of challenges with working with typography so I wanted to practice creating something with text being a major part of the design and with the intial iteration of the poster I was happy with what I created and so was my superviser. However, the style of the first iteration looked too modern. Rental Rewind is a series that focuses more on content and material back in late 90's and early 2000's hence why I created the new poster despite being very proud of what I made intially.
