Aluna Posters

These posters were designed to promote a fictional music provider service I created. These were created for my Independant Study class at SAIT. A class where we come up with our own assignments giving us a chance to either improve upon our pre-existing skills or to learn a new one.

Overview

Initial Idea
The intial idea I wanted to convey was to have the night sky somehow look like it was being torn into the sunjects reality whilst he was listening to music. However, as you can see with the poster it doesn't convey with that idea very well since the subject is so far away and it is hard to see that he is even listening to music.

I got the opporuntity to get chat with Britny Samuelson who has over 10 years of industry experience and get her feedback. She told me aspects of the poster that she liked as well as parts that could be improved upon, for example how having the subject closer to the camera and having the words look like it is coming from his headphones can better convey the message that he is listening to music. On top of all the feedback she gave me a rough sketch of a new concept and a way I can work in the paper cutout motif for more visual effect.
